This is another of my cultural backgrounds. This is a Japanese XP background inspired by Hokusai’s The Great Wave. This features a japanese vertical plaque that reads Microsoft Windows to interact with some and an XP colored chinese chop that reads Microsoft Windows. The rest of the picture was taken from a Hokusai print, stripped of its background and planted on a rice paper

My rendition of a famous woodblock printing by Hokusai. It was published in Hokusai’s series „36 Views of Mount Fuji.“ 874 shapes (not including all the little circles) Took me about 7 hours prob’ly. Download for the full size wallpaper (1280×800)you’ll have to crop it yourself if you don’t have a widescreen monitor. edit: I’ve done a second Hokusai woodblock.
